‘Encore et Encore’ (‘Again and Again’) Exhibition – Caring Gallery – Paris, 3rd arrondissement
From 14 to 30 March 2023
Exhibition Curator: Anne Sophie Bérard
The ENCORE ET ENCORE (‘AGAIN AND AGAIN’) exhibition brings together nine French and international artists who have embraced the approach of considering the life-cycle of a work of art. By showing us the impact of our excessive habits of over-production and over-consumption in a tangible way, and by making refuse and waste the source of their inspiration, these artists open our minds to new habits and practices that are very much needed. From sculpture and sketches to photography, objects that have been repurposed and transformed into works of art, and digital artworks, their explorative works combine to create an original and inspiring space that makes us realise that there are other possibilities, as long as we truly consider them.
Through the partner for this exhibition, the NGO Ateliers Sans Frontières (‘Workshops Without Borders’), there is also a tangible link between the concept of the exhibition and the dedicated work of those taking action on the ground – 10% of the sales from the artworks will be donated to support them in their mission. It is our hope that this exhibition will lead as much to new preferences and intentions, as to a process of reflection and questioning – because as we know, it is in doubt that intelligence is found. Again and again.
10% OF SALES WILL BE DONATED TO Ateliers Sans Frontières (‘Workshops Without Borders’)
