“Messenger Olive Tree” Hub Richard Mille – Singapore

In October 2023, Maison Richard Mille opened a splendid new home in Singapore called St Martin, taking the watch brand into a new dimension of luxury.
A William Amor-designed piece takes root as the centrepiece of this new iconic boutique: an olive tree from the French artist’s imagination. A work of art embodying the qualities of loyalty and the transmission of savoir-faire, resistance and friendship, peace and health. The tree is also a nod to the South of France so dear to Richard Mille.
William Amor and his assistants produced this piece crafted entirely from hundreds of used plastic bottles. Sterilised and then died shades of green, they are transformed into thousands of translucent olive tree leaves. Each one individually engraved, sculpted and set by hand. The trunk and branches of the olive tree were assembled using a reclaimed pine stump and fallen branches, treated and assembled like a sculpture.
