The environment becoming inundated with plastics pollution and the devastation caused by Storm Aurore in 2022 were the starting points for the creation of 5 tree-like sculptures with a message by William Amor. The artist uses petrochemical waste materials to create dreamlike, psychedelic decorative pieces, and in so doing brings about a metamorphosis, transforming discarded stray plastic into objects of beauty, with a touch of poetry. This discarded plastic blossoms and blooms on fallen tree branches that have broken off in the storm, and have been found strewn across the streets of Paris. The branches were recovered by the artist and painstakingly transformed, patinaed, preserved and varnished, to be reborn as imperishable and timeless sculptures. These five sculptures are a homage to the beauty and fragility of living beings. The artist presents Lyrica Synthetica ‘Borealis’, Petrochemical Romance (“Romance Pétrochimique”), Aurora Storm Pollutea ‘Poetic Republic’ (“Aurora Storm Pollutea ‘République poétique’”), Aurora Storm Pollutea ‘Blue Twins’, and Petroleus Toxica ‘Blue Moon’
